We have heard from many community members that it can be challenging to differentiate between candidate platforms on their website and in their pamphlets. That’s why the OBNN is launching our Candidate Questionnaire designed to help you understand where candidates stand on the issues that matter to you.

We are inviting all candidates to respond to a series of meaningful questions about the issues facing our community.

Our Goal

Our goal is to make it easier for you to compare candidates and make an informed decision at the ballot box.

Each candidate will receive the same questions and the same opportunity to respond. Their answers will be published verbatim, so you can hear directly from the people asking for your vote.

We won't edit their responses to change their meaning or tell you what we think. Instead, we'll provide a space for candidates to clearly articulate their positions, priorities and vision for our community.

Why we're doing this

Election campaigns can be busy, noisy and sometimes difficult to navigate. With so much information coming from different sources, it can be challenging to understand what candidates actually stand for. The OBNN Candidate Questionnaire is intended to cut through some of that noise. By asking thoughtful, locally relevant questions and publishing the responses side by side, we hope to give voters a clearer picture of the choices before them.
